Western Province
Rendova Island is 40 km long with a summit elevation of 1063m. The island had a population of 3679 at last census in 1999. Rendova Island is situated south of Roviana Lagoon.
The island is 400 sq km in area and has a rectangular shape. The southern coast and peninsula is backed by a mountain range. There is fringing coral on the south coast and peninsula.
